As usual, my Mastermind group spent many hours at our last get together discussing the presidential election.  Most of us are Libertarian so we’re quite concerned with the direction America is taking.  So for you political junkies, here’s my predictions I shared with them…

A few of them commented on Dick Morris’ daily videos.  If you watch them, you’d think Romney is going to win in a landslide.   Morris is drinking his own Kool-aid and has no rational or objective thoughts any longer.  He is so hateful to the president he’s lost all objectivity.   It’s easy to let your feelings influence your objectivity.  Morris is so wrapped up in his delusions he’s completely lost touch with reality.

At this point, it looks to play out exactly how I thought in the original post on the election:  Romney would win the nomination and get crushed in November. 

The Romney campaign got highjacked by the Tea Party, and I hold him responsible.  At the end of the day, he has to make the final decision on each issue and I think he pandered to what he thought would get him the nomination.  That was stupid, because he would always have gotten the tea party vote in the general against the president.  The whole election is decided by those 12 swing sates and they are decided by independents and moderate women and Latinos.  And his flip-flopping killed him with them.

At this point, we’re looking at a lopsided loss on the scale of Bob Dole.  The only likely scenarios for a Romney win are:

A) Obama is caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl;
B) He picks Mother Theresa for VP: or,
C) He picks up an endorsement from Bill Clinton. 

Obviously B is the most likely to happen.  But there is one other possibility for a Romney win in November… 

If the party nominates Ann instead of Mitt!
